2022 NMU Admission Information for International Master’s Programs

I.    PROGRAM

A postgraduate program leading to a masters degree in a variety of fields of medicine. There are two training types:

Academic Type: Physiology, Microbiology, Neurobiology, Genetics, Cell Biology, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Reproductive Medicine, Human Anatomy, Histology and Embryology, Immunology, Pathogen Biology, Pathology and Pathophysiology, Forensic Medicine, Pharmacology, Epidemiology and Health Statistics, Occupational and Environmental Health, Nutrition and Food Hygiene, Maternal, Child and Adolescent Health, Hygiene Toxicology, Community Medicine and Health Pedagogy, Epidemiology and Health Statistics, Sanitary Analysis, Applied Psychology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Clinical Pharmacy, Humanities Medicine, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Technology (Radiotherapy, Rehabilitation, Medical Imaging, Optometry), Nursing,etc.

Professional Type: Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Geriatrics, Neurology, Psychiatry and Mental Health, Dermatology and Venereology, Emergency Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, General Practice, Rehabilitation Medicine and Physiotherapy, Surgery, Pediatric Surgery, Osteopathic Medicine, Sports Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, Anesthesiology, Clinical Pathology, Clinical Laboratory Diagnostics, Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Radiology, Ultrasound Medicine, Nuclear Medicine, Stomatology, Public Health, Ophthalmic Specialty, etc.

II.    STUDY DURATION

1)     Regular length of study for the Masters Programs (except MPH): 3 years (excluding 1-year Chinese language course when applicable)

2)      Regular length of study for Master of Public Health (MPH): 2 years

III.     TEACHING LANGUAGE

English

Apply from January 1, 2022 to June 30, 2022

VI.     CRITERIA & ELIGIBILITY

1)        Undergraduate degree

2)        Undergraduate GPA 2.5on a scale of 4.0or its equivalent

3)        Programs being applied to should be closely related to the applicants highest degree.

4)        Professional Type (except MPH): Applicant should pass HSK 4 or above, if not, they should take Chinese             language courses for one year and pass HSK4.

        Academic Type and MPH: There is no HSK requirement.

VII.    APPLICATION PROCEDURE

1)        Applicants (except MPH) need to contact an NMU mentor in the relevant field before submitting the application, and provide a provisional Acceptance Letter after obtaining the mentor's acceptance intention (Please find the attachment for the list of mentors and a template of Acceptance Letter).

2)        All applicants should submit the materials, including the Acceptance Letter and published articles (if any), through our online application system: http://admission.njmu.edu.cn/. In addition, for applicants seeking a Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC scholarship), a separate application should be submitted in CSC system together with the Acceptance Letter.

3)        According to a preliminary review of the application materials and the requirements of relevant academic school/department, eligible applicants will participate in an interview organized by our admission committee. The applicants will be notified of the specific arrangements separately.

4)         NMU will issue the PRE-ADMISSION LETTER to those qualified applicants.

5)        Qualified applicants pay a non-refundable deposit payment of CNY18,000 or $2,780 within the period specified in the PRE-ADMISSION LETTER.

6)         NMU will send OFFICIAL ADMISSION LETTER and relevant materials for Visa Application for Study in China (JW201/JW202 form) after receiving the deposit.

7)         Incoming students apply for an X Visa at an embassy or consulate of P.R. China, along with the OFFICIAL ADMISSION LETTER and the JW201/JW202 form.

8)         Incoming students pay the remaining tuition after registration.

VIII.   REQUIRED ATTACHMENT

1)        Passport copy with at least 1-year validity period

2)        ProvisionalAcceptanceofInternationalGraduate StudentbyMentorfrom Nanjing Medical University for 2022 Admission

3)        Highest degree (notarized photocopy)

4)        Transcripts of the highest degree (notarized photocopy)

5)        Certificate of non-criminal record

6)        A study or research plan in English (1,000 words or above)

7)        Two letters of recommendation in English

8)        HSK4 certificate (if required)

each attachment should be in A4 size, jpg format, and less than 0.5MB

IX.     FEE STRUCTURE

1)        Registration Fee: CNY500

2)        Tuition: All Master's programs except MPH: CNY35,000/Year; MPH: CNY30,000/Year

3)        Accommodation Fee: Double room: CNY 6,000/Year
