Scholarship Policy for First-year International Undergraduates at NMU

Chapter I. General Rules

Article 1. This policy is designed to encourage excellent international undergraduates to join NMU, expand the scale of international undergraduate enrollment, improve the quality of international undergraduates, and standardize the evaluation of scholarships for international undergraduates. The School of International Education has referred to the Quality Standards of Higher Education for International Students in China (For Trial Use) (Jiaowai No.2018-50 Document of the Ministry of Education) in this initiative.

Article 2. An open, fair, and equitable principle will apply to the evaluation of scholarship for first-year international undergraduates to ensure the quality of the evaluation.

Article 3. Scholarships of different levels will be awarded to all admitted first-year international undergraduates. The First-year Scholarship Evaluation Panel will evaluate twice (in May and in June) to determine the scholarship level for each student. Scholarships provided by NMU require no application. Scholarships provided by the Chinese government or Jiangsu government require two applications, one on the NMU International Student Service System, and another on the scholarship provider’s website (http://www.csc.edu.cn/Laihua/indexen.aspx for Chinese Government Scholarship, and http://english.jsjyt.edu.cn for Jiangsu Government Scholarship).
